Ron told a joke regarding divorce and a secret sex change. Announcements Home Show – we have 3 major sponsors so far. Toys for Tots – the boxes are out. He had Veterans stand in recognition. Program Cindy N. introduced our program, The Auglaize Township Historical Society. Susan Archer and Stephen Kerchenfaut. Auglaize Twp was formed in 1832. Harrod was formed in 1882. It is one of 4 villages in the township. Harrod is the home to two parks. The Harrod Veterans Memorial Park and the Harrod Railroad Park. These parks were created and maintained by the Historical Society, which formed in 1988. The parks were dedicated in 1997. They include a Shay locomotive, a caboose, a restored “Little Red Building”, a railroad shanty, gazebo, an artillery weapon, M60 Tank, ship anchor, and a Huey helicopter. The Shay and caboose were recently refurbished.   The tank and helicopter are in need of it. Funds are raised each year during the Pork Rind Festival.
