Ron told a joke regarding a Scottish person’s interpretation of baseball. Birthdays No one would admit it. Announcements Kettle drive signup sheets will be coming around starting next week. 1/3 1/3 1/3 Drawing Mike R. was the winner $9 but did not the Ace of Spades now worth $319.00. Fines Sarge Ralph fined anyone did not bring toy and also passed the hat for Toys For Tots cash donations. Program Today’s program was the Toys for Tots campaign, which begins today and runs thru Dec. 10. Guests included, Mike Caprella who read Mayor’s proclamation and Commissioner Cory Noonan who read the County’s proclamation. Other included Sgt. Wilson, representing the Marines, Majors Jeff and Debbie Stacy and Katie Harris. Toys for Tots started in the area in 2003 and has grown to 160 collection boxes in 150 locations. 23,714 kids have benefited. Last year 9,470 toys were distributed to 1,876 kids. Both Toys R Us and Meijer’s are donating toys and other companies are donating $$s. All cash donations used are to purchase extra toys as needed. Those who have volunteered to watch a box are encouraged to up every couple weeks and bring the toys to the Salvation Army. image006 Next Week: The speaker will be Susan Archer of the Auglaize Twp.
